Day 2 brought shifty, northerly breeze 7-10 kts with a few gusts. Five more races were completed in both fleets and everyone was in early. In the full rig fleet, it came down to the final race of the day with Greg Martinez (Kinkaid School) taking top honors in a tie breaker over Trey Hartman (Bellaire High School). The Radial fleet was also close and Carson Crain (St. John's School) came out the winner just edging out Alan Rochard (Lake Travis High School).
Day 1 of the Cressy Qualifier at TCYC brought some tricky conditions. Sailors completed 4 races before being sent to shore to wait for wind. After an hour and 1/2 postponement, the sea breeze arrived and we were able to complete 3 more races for a total of 7 races for the day. After the first day, Trey Hartman (Bellaire High School) leads the Laser fleet and Carson Crain (St. Johns School) leads the Radial fleet.

RESULTS Posted! Mallory and Baker Qualifying Regattas at Southern Yacht Club, New Orleans, LA - March 28 -29. Mallory / Baker was a great weekend. 18 - 22 kts of wind WNW, big waves. 12 races I believe every sailor was pretty tired at the end of the day.
Patrick Ryan was the PRO and did a fantastic job running the races. We had a couple of boat issues that were remedied but resulted with some average scoring for the races missed.

IMPORTANT NEWS...........
With the recent devastation in the LaPorte, Seabrook and Kemah areas due to Hurricane Ike, we must postpone the SEISA Cressy Qualifying regatta originally scheduled for this weekend at Houston Yacht Club. It is possible to host the regatta at a different venue the following weekend. Would you please let me know if you would plan to attend the Cressy Qualifying regatta if it is held at either an Austin area yacht club or a Dallas area yacht club on September 27 and 28. I am open to suggestions at this point and would like to accommodate as many sailors as possible. Please let me hear from you! We must choose our representatives (Full Rig and Radial Rig) for the National Championships in the next two weeks so that they will have time to make travel arrangements to Cornell University, October 18 - 19.
